Description:
Casa Luisa is situated in a wonderful location, close to the Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo, the wine route, and in the hilly heart of Tuscany, more or less in the middle of the area between Siena and Florence. Therefore, it forms an excellent holiday base for wonderful excursions in the neighbourhood. Florence, for instance, is within easy driving distance but you can spend days on end in the Chianti region, tasting wines in one of the many world famous wine houses, or you can go south to enjoy the unbelievable beautiful landscapes of the “Crete Senesi” and the Val d’Orcia), and the charming little towns of Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano (with, as a matter of course, further wine tasting).

Casa Luisa once was the main farm on a country estate, existing of the main building with its dependance next to it. It has been restored and adapted with all modern comforts. The country estate is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and oak woodland. Although the owner lives on this estate, his dwelling lies at about 1,5 km. from Casa Luisa so your privacy will be guaranteed. The house can only be reached via a so-called “strada bianca”, an unpaved road. All around the house you will find a fenced, well maintained garden, full of shrubs, flowers and olive trees, and with some sitting areas. There is a large patio with pizza-oven and barbecue; perfect for meals outside. A small flight of stairs leads you down to the swimming pool, with deck chairs and a comfortable futon in the shade. Next to the swimming pool, there is a sauna and bathroom with shower. Sufficient space to park your car.

The house exists of two floors. The furnishing is in typical Tuscany style, an “authentic” experience, with terracotta floors and beamed ceilings. All bedrooms are tastefully furnished with antique pieces, and terracotta floors plus beamed ceilings as well. Close to the main building, you will find the guesthouse.

Parking, fenced garden, sauna, swimming pool with deck chairs, pizza-oven, barbeque, airconditioning in the bedrooms, sat-TV, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, micro wave, toaster, oven, stove with 5 cooking elements, Lavazza espresso machine and washing machine. Hairdryer in all the bedrooms. Ironing utensils, beach towels for the swimming pool, mobile phone (prepaid), Internet (WiFi).

Description of the main building, 200 m², 6 pers.:
Ground floor: Spacious yet cosy living room with open fire place and sat-TV, dining room in open connection with the living, with a large, wooden table placed in front of a large window offering a beautiful view of the garden. Fully equipped kitchen and toilet. All rooms on this floor have their own access to the garden.
First floor, 13 steps up: Three double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms; one with bath and hand shower, one with shower and one with bath, separate shower and double basin. This last bedroom has, moreover, a safe and large walk-in closet. In one of the bedrooms the double bed can be split into two single beds.

Guesthouse, 180 m², 2 pers.:
Spacious home with bright living with open fire place, large windows and TV, stereo set, kitchen corner with refrigerator and electric cooking element, double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.

Possibilities for sports/excursions:
Walking, cycling. Riding and wine tasting in the near vicinity. Some suggestions for excursions: A visit to the enoteca in the fortress in Montalcino, a drive along the Chianti wine route (the SS 222), lunch in Cortona at Tonino on the Piazza Garibaldi and shopping in the factory outlets of Montevarchi. Also, a day at the seaside with a lunch in one of the wonderful fish-restaurants in Porto Santo Stefano, and a visit to the queer, almost unchanged old village of Murlo with its Etruscan museum. Of course, there is Florence with too many things to do and see to mention here, or Lucca, where you can walk along the age-old city walls, and then there is Siena with yet other treasures to discover.

In Ambra, at about 7 km. distance, you find the nearest shops, post office, bank, pharmacy, bars and restaurants. Siena 25 km, Arezzo 35 km, Florence 50 km, Asciano 25 km, Rapolano Terme (Spa) 15 km, Monte San Savino 15 km, Radda in Chianti 20 km. Factory outlets in Leccio, 35 km (a.o. Gucci, Armani, La Perla, Ferragamo, Valentino).
