Description:
Villa Macinaia is a beautiful property located in a very quiet location, in the heart of the Chianti region, between Gaiole and Castelnuovo Berardenga.

The main villa dates back to the 17th century, and has been immaculately restored by its Belgian owner who combined modern design with original Tuscan architecture. The property is equipped with the highest standard of modern comforts, including air-conditioning (not on the first floor!), WiFi- technology, a large flat screen television with satellite tv, and an especially well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are furnished with great taste, and some of them have en suite bathrooms.

Just across from the main villa there is a guest house built of stone that can sleep up to 6 people. This part of the property is of more recent construction, but maintains the same high level as the main villa. A particular feature is a covered veranda which makes eating al fresco a lovely experience.

The panoramic position of Villa Macinaia allows guests to enjoy colourful views, especially from the guest house terrace and the pool area (the pool can be heated). The English speaking caretaker lives on the premises in an apartment with a separate entrance.

Ground floor: Entrance, dining room, kitchen opening to outdoor eating area, powder room. From a separate entrance, lofted twin bedroom accommodating 2/4 guests, bathroom (shower).
First floor: Study, sitting room, TV room, double bedroom, bathroom (shower).
Second floor: Master bedroom with bathroom (bath and separate shower), double bedroom with en suite bathroom (shower), double bedroom with en suite bathroom; these two rooms share a toilet.
Guest house: (available on request, 4/6 pers.)
Ground floor: Twin bedroom, small bedroom with bunk beds, bathroom (shower). Independent laundry room, covered veranda.
First floor: Sitting room with kitchen corner opening onto a terrace with beautiful views, double bedroom with bathroom.

Included in the rental price:
Maid service 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Particulars:

Minimum rental period 7 nights. The rental period always is from Saturday till Saturday. During the low-season, other periods may be possible

Included in the rental price: the usage of bed-, kitchen- and table linens on a basis of a weekly change, final cleaning and where applicable maid service

Not included in the rental price: tourist taxes and costs for heating en air conditioning. Payment directly on the spot

Most villas will provide bath-/beach linens; please inform on the moment of booking

The swimming pool (12 x 6 m, heated) is opened from 1/6 - 28/9. Outside this period, please enquire upon booking if the pool can be opened

Upon arrival, a deposit of € 1,000,00 is required. In case the accommodation disposes of a telephone with an outgoing line, an extra deposit of € 250,00 is also required. Both amounts to be paid in cash

Check-in on the day of arrival between 16.00-19.00 hrs. Check out on the day of departure before 10.00 hrs. For check-in after 8 p.m a fee of € 50,00 is required and after 10 p.m the fee is € 100,00. Any late arrival has to be agreed in advance

Many villa’s are situated in rural surroundings, sometimes only to be reached via a so-called "strada bianca", an unpaved road. Please enquire prior to booking if the accommodation of your choice can be reached with your own (or your rental) car

Extra maid service is possible; please state so upon booking. Payment directly on the spot

In most cases, pets are not allowed so in case your booking depends on whether or not you can take a pet along, please enquire beforehand. If permission is granted, an extra deposit will be applicable
