Description:
Chioda is a beautiful farmhouse, set high in the hills between Lucca and Pisa, with magnificent views on the valley below. It is located very close to the small village of Vorno, renowned for its beautiful 17th century villas belonging to the oldest families of Lucca, which used them as summer residences.

The location combines perfectly town facilities, with its proximity to Lucca, and the perfect silence and peace of a sheltered countryside. The location is also very convenient for those who wish to visit the main Tuscan tourist destinations, since Chioda is located only eight kms. from the motorway entrance/exit. We have been renting this property for many years until 2006, when it was sold to a Dutch family which then spent more than three years of intensive renovations to transform the villa into an ideal holiday home.

The architects in charge of the renovation project have succeeded in blending the character of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse with modern design. The result is a beautiful combination between traditional Tuscan materials and contemporary style.

The owners have furnished the interior to a very high standard. Having been tenants themselves in Tuscany for many years, they have equipped the villa with all the appliances and facilities they were expecting in a rental property. The beautiful, new swimming pool has been installed in the most panoramic position on the estate. The very spacious and well equipped kitchen opens directly onto the large courtyard and garden overlooking the valley, ideal for eating outside or just relaxing and enjoying the peace and lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The house is equipped with internet connection (WiFi); however, the Internet does not work properly everywhere due to the thick walls of the house.

Lay-out (10 + 2 pers.):
Ground floor: Entrance, TV room, dining room, guest bathroom, laundry. A few steps up: double bedroom with en suite bathroom (shower only), walk-in closet.
Lower ground floor: Kitchen opening onto the courtyard/garden furnished for outdoor meals.
First floor: Sitting room, double bedroom with en suite bathroom (shower only), master bedroom with en suite bathroom (tub and separate shower).
Second floor: Double bedroom with en suite bathroom, twin bedroom with en suite bathroom. Two extra beds are available in the sitting room in front of the twin bedroom.

Included in the rental price:
Maid service 15 hours per week.
